DOL 28 Capacitive Relay Sensor with Light

DOL 28 is a unique 30 mm capacitive relay sensor for detecting feed, grain and solids in a feeding system. It has a built-in high-power relay with a changeover function.

A capacitive relay sensor is typically used as an empty, full and level indicator in tanks, silos and containers. DOL 28's powerful built-in relay can directly control many functions.

This sensor controls filling and emptying processes in feeding systems and comes with a 2-metre (6.6 ft) cable.

Feed sensor with built-in light for poultry

The sensor has a white LED to illuminate the feeder. DOL 28 is designed for poultry feeders, where the light ensures the sensor pan attracts the birds' attention. It is recommended to position the sensor in the feed pan farthest from the hopper to ensure a stable feed supply.

Compared with separate lighting solutions, DOL 28 is very easy to install and can also retrofit existing feeding systems with integrated lighting.

The feed sensor provides a light intensity of more than 100 lux at 0.3 m (1 ft).

A red LED clearly indicates the relay sensor's current status, while a green LED indicates sensor power.

Reliability

Using electronic rather than mechanical switches gives DOL 28 exceptional reliability. The electronics are fully enclosed in a special plastic that provides maximum protection against moisture and other external influences in harsh environments.

DOL 28 has IP69k and NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13 protection.

The sensor is also CE, C-UL and UL certified and highly resistant to interference from electrical communication, such as mobile phones, and transients, such as those from motors and contactors. This makes it highly reliable.

Mounting

The DOL 28 Capacitive Relay Sensor is easily mounted in a plastic gland, also available as a flanged solution for easy external mounting. Sensors are also supplied with threads, providing several installation options.
