The DOL 111 Rain Detector can stop sprinklers and close inlets when it rains
DOL 111 is an optical rain detector. It has built-in optical probes for rain detection and comes with a 30-metre cable for easy installation.
The DOL 111 Rain Detector can connect to a climate computer to ensure air inlets close automatically when it rains, for example in livestock buildings.
The sensor can signal when rainfall is above or below 6.35 mm/h (1/4”/h). It can be set to stop detecting rain between 30 seconds and 5 minutes after the last drop. The sensor operates at temperatures from minus 40 to plus 60 degrees Celsius.
The rain detector is made from UV-resistant polycarbonate, UV-resistant ABS plastic and stainless steel, with a silicone O-ring protecting the circuit board from rain.
The sensor can also be used for other detection purposes.
DOL 111 is designed to override cycle programmes, stop a system during rain and keep it off for a period afterwards. It can therefore be used with irrigation controllers to stop field sprinklers, for example. Irrigation resumes when the sensor dries or rainfall falls below 6.35 mm/h.
